The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development launches a loan program to support and finance renewable energy commercial projects in Ukraine. With this program, Ukraine will be able to produce 11% of energy from renewable energy sources by 2020 according to the National Plan on EBRD website.

The new USELF-III program will replace the current program, which expires on June 30, 2018.

The EBRD plans to allocate funds for renewable energy projects, including the creation of small hydroelectric power plants, wind farms, geothermal, solar power stations, as well as biomass / biogas and solar-powered projects.

According to preliminary data, the Bank has already funded Ukrainian renewable energy projects worth 100 million euros. Source: ebrd.com
